Anybody viewed Marco Ruas' Panther training videos? Is the training info on the video worth it?

I own the tapes, and I must warn you: the series is very basic, it covers everything but at real basic level; the moves are showed by Marco and Pedro Rizzo; the verbal instruction is almost nonexistent, but the moves are solid, and very workable. The tapes are meant for Vale Tudo (no gi) and they suffer from the chronic problems that plague all panther videos: the same move is shown endless times in slow motion and one more time at full speed.

The quality of instruction is good, but IMHO, you will be better served by the sperry tapes.

How is training going with the Ruas Vale Tudo guys?

Hi, training is fine thanks, right now I'm just returned for a weekend training in Ruas Vale Tudo academy in Rome.

This is a bi-monthly gathering of all the trainers course students, we are scattered around Italy and when we met is BIG TIME PARTY; I have fought with a Kickboxing blackbelt, and have sparred real hard with a humungous guy with luta livre rules. Grueling. The bout has endured 12 mins and ended with me completely out of gas...

Actually I used in this match some moves from the sperry tapes and they worked as a charm...

I will compete next april in the first Italin submission wrestling national tournament. I have rested until now, but now it's time for me to get in real fighting shape. I'm planning to compete in the 180 lbs category, where I will have some hope. The heavyweight cat is beyond hope for me. The torunament will be open to everyone, under the same rules held in Abu Dhabi. I will post as far as my training will progress; maybe I'll not win, but I'm planning to do some serious damage here.
