  • Brandon Lee

I was just watching an old Documentary about Bruce and Brandon. I am quite curious about Brandons "real-life" fighting ability. In his interviews he seemed very interested in JKD and he explained alot about his fathers philosophy. He was trained by his dad then Dan Inosanto right?
I know he looks real good in his films ..using some nice trapping in rapid fire..his movement is fluid etc....but does anyone know how good he was in the "real" world??

    Any info would be cool.....

        damn

been trying to get me mitts on that video. no luck.... I think Brandon liked Thai boxing because it was very hard and physical... but this is all from memory. I think Dan Inosanto said whatever he did he had to excel at it.

He was never tested and never reached full potential

From what I hear Brandon wasn't too serious about training for the better part of his life. Even at the time of his death he was relatively novice in JKD and MA training, although he was just beginning to take a very serious interest in it. Guro Inosanto was just beginning to take it upon himself to train Brandon well. Brandon was never known to be any sort of a fighter, although he was said to have inherited his father's bad temper and fiery personality. Perhaps he would've been a good fighter, but he just never had the chance to really explore his potential. Its truly a shame.
