Many tma nad selfdefense people(some jkd people included) are always in search of what "is" in combat.In other words on fighting there aint' nothing to it but to do it, then you'll know.the problem is you'll probably get arrested or killled if you go around street fighting so all you have is the ring mma, boxing, kickboxing and the like, I'm sure you'l find people who will be only too glad to beat you within an inch of your esoteric life so don't worry tooo much as some due, that ring fighting isn't "real" cause just like in a street fight the other guy will be trying to hurt you real bad with every blow(at least I always have ) btw "be like water" is also a good one
