I live in Maryville, TN and Richard Clear has a silat school here, and in Oak Ridge(about 35 minutes away) is a PMA headed by Bruce COrrigan, which one should I go to??

What kind of silat? If it's Mande Muda I would recommend it!
If the JKD school is a concepts place, it's likely that you'll do some silat there too.Comment

Other silats? Pentjak silat is like "Martial art". There are so many styles and substyles of Pentjak silat that the popular styles usually have a specific name sometimes bases on animals or not they all have some things in common but differ with specific techniques, tactics, antics, and weapons.
Spears, blowpipes, and the bow and arrow are common in some styles while others favor a shield and short sword. Still others favor the kriss and many the karambit. What style(s) of Pentjak Silat and the lineage(s) would be a good start...
Atjeh? Bima? Champaka? Delima? Essti? One of the many Tji- styles perhaps?
