  • Tao of Jeet Kune Do

I just got this book, and it's pretty sweet. I haven't had a chance to finish it, but it is very good. Anybody who is interested in JKD should own it. It's less than $10. Peace

A must for all Martial Artists,
Just to see how ahead of his time Sigung Lee was astounds me.

ive heard that the toa of jkd is only a small sliver of information from bruce lee. he had volumes of books that he had written, the tao is just a very small piece of knowledge from bruce.

Yeah there is also The Tao of gung fu, Jeet Kune Do, Letters of the Dragon, The art of expressing the human body, and striking thoughts. Those books are compilations of his notes on various aspects of MA. But i'm sure there is a lot more that has not been published yet. Apparently Linda Lee is keeping a lot of Bruce's notes secret. Just what i heard...

              Interesting.

Anywho I have the book... and have begun to draw my own notes in the margins next to his. Most of my study is on movement and setting up the stike, not on striking or defense itself, since I don't see myself kicking anything other then a soccer ball.

It was a very informative book. And Bruce has a Seven Volume book series on Jeet Kune Do compiled from his notes from 1970 - 1973.

Tao of Jeet Kune Do is an excellent book. However it should be taken for what it is. Much of it is compilations of his personal notes and ideas. Always keep that in mind, and you can learn alot from it.

My copy is full of yellow and for the more important (to me) parts, bright pink highlighter...

It looks kinda funny flipping through it!

                      Enjoy yours!

I think that Bruce did not want to reveal to much info about it because it would then lead to accumulation as it is now. No one would try and do something new and natural rather they would just process it. Take care
