hey whats up
I actually have the tape of the long beach tournament. Its not great on visibility but its not bad. You can get it at bruce lee collection. or search bruce lee long beach tournament and it shoulfd pop up. There is other things on there that are preety usefull too. I am not to impressed with bruce lee's fight he never gets hit but, hes demonstrating not actually fighting. But that goes for all martial arts teachers. They talk and talk but its hard to even see them do what lee did. I howeever have tried some styles and have to say that Jeet kune do, it not actually being a style has some very usefull apllications that I have not seen in TKD muiy tai etc...And before I even got into it my dad taught me some moves that I seen bruce lee use. My dad is a street fighter. Not an actual martial artist. Take care

Hello,
How was his structure? Did it look like more wing chun stance or more like boxing with strong side forward? Did he apply stop kick, stop hit, foot obstruction, PIA, ETC.? How was his footwork? Just curious because I myself have never seen him fight real opponnents...I also heard he did fight a muay thai fighter in thailand when filming "The Big Boss" and beat him on the set, I don't know if anyone captured the two fighting but what I heard Bruce Lee said the guy had a strong thai kick.

Going forwards. he never got hit once. From what I seen. His style was not wing chung, the smal phasic bent knee stance. and sometimes it was low with the rear hand high up over his head.Now. I dont know about the footage on the set
But there was thi sguy who came to his house and wanted to challenge him. He kicked the guy so hard. In a n interview he said he had never kicked anyone so hard in his life before. He kicked him of his steps. thats all I know and dont know. The rest is questionable. Later

Hello,
Thanks for the insight ecamd 1025, it's good to learn some of his strategies and tactics, more so of Bruce's philosophy in fighting and how he related them to our own way of life.
As for Mr. Thai Bri...so what's up with Bruce Lee's way of wiggling his hands about?...can you be more so kind to explain it in a more educated eye?...I am interested in your perspective of that angle you see of him...sounds like you know him more than anybody...can you explain his philosophy at that moment when he was "wiggling" his hands when he was doing it to his opponnent?

Anybody into Martial Arts can see his philosophies. Especially as he developed his own approach.
But, in those early films, who knows what he was thinking. Looking at what he actually did, he was probably think "Duuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" or something like that.
