Vale Tudo Circuit
Hey Guys!
I just wanted to let you know about a new Vale Tudo competition Circuit that's starting in Colorado. It's looking like one hell of a great way to break into some of the bigger tournaments, and an awesome way to get NHB experience. There are beginner and advanced divisions, with the advanced division rules looking quite a bit like the old UFC's. It's an amateur event, but it's sanctioned by the Pike's Peak Martial Arts Council, and will be awarding title belts! Competitors from the Olympic wrestling team under Kevin Jackson, Army wrestling coach and Abu Dhabi veteran Mike VanArsdale, up and comer Gabe Beauperthay and several others from colorado and the surrounding states have already applied, and fighter applications for both divisions are now being accepted. The first official competition is May 19th. If you're interested in fighting, send your name, address and brief fight history to CEMA, 677 N. Murray Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80915. I'm actually responsible for matchmaking, so if you're short on NHB experience, don't worry. You'll get matched with someone of similar background. It's going to be a great event with world class competition, so check it out! Oh, and like I said before, beginners, this is your chance to get into real Vale Tudo competition without worrying about taking any real beatings. The beginner division rules are a little more limiting, but they're really safe! Let me know if anyone you know is interested!
