Has anybody seen his book covering Shoot Wrestling? I read on Ron Balicki's website that only vol. 1 is published. I also saw on this website a new video covering Silat with Dan Inosanto and Victor de Thouars.

Sensei Yori's book has been out of print for years. It's a very thin manual but it is packed with great info. It cover footwork, stances, and all of Combo 1 (there are 10 Combos total in Shooto). If you can find it pick it up. I know Ray Copeland has a few copies left at his school and he's selling them at an inflated price. If you were really interested I could check into it for you. As far as the Silat video goes I havent seen it but I heard good things about it.
On a side note, I just picked up all 5 of Guro Dan's videos. Hoo boy! Good stuff!

      Dan Inosanto's New Tapes

Could you give us a brief review of his tapes? How do they compare with the FMA tapes that he did over ten years ago?

Hm, maybe the wrong way, but can you supply me with Ray´s email adress or his webpage? I missed him last week at the academy and now I am back in Germany, so I couldn´t exchange adresses!
          Thanks in advance!

            tapes

I got the tapes at the Inosanto Academy. As far as the difference between these and his earlier tape series is that there is alot of segments where Guro talks between the techniques. He'll throw in some history or a few stories about Sijo Bruce. Also the material covered is more current and covers the material we are presently doing at the Academy. Erik Paulson and Rick Young assist him. I've only watched 3 out of the 5. Tape 1 covers Jun Fan Gung Fu/JKD Kickboxing. Tape 2 covers Jun Fan Gung Fu/JKD Trapping. Tape 3 covers Jun Fan Gung Fu/JKD Grappling. Tape 4 covers Kali/Panatukan. Tape 5 covers Kali/Dumog.
Hey Frank, sorry we didn't get to train last week although I saw you briefly. If you really want I'll check with Ray on the price of Sensei's book and I'll tell him it's for you.

                athom,

Is there any way that I can get the tapes from the Inosanto Academy? Specifically, is there and internet address? Also, how much do the tapes cost? Any and all help will be appreciated.

                  HungryWolf,
You can call the Academy at (310) 348-9944 and ask Dory for ordering info M-F 5-10pm pacific. Actually tonight (Thurs) a new guy named Paul starts, it's his first night. For all 5 they'll cost you $199. I don't know how much they cost seperate or what the shipping and handling is. I do know that supplies are limited.
