So after searching for a local Jeek Kune Do instructer i've had no luck i've decided to learn Jeet Kune Do from the books and videos on it. They don't seem to be very helpful too me in learning the On-Guard Position, basic punch and kick. I always have question after learning it. So basically i want to learn about the Correct On-Guard Position, basic punch and kick in Jeet Kune Do.
I was told you're supposed too twist your hips when punching? But i can't seem to get the right motion, or i might be doing it right but i don't know it?
With the stance your lead foot is supposed too be 25 degrees and back foot 45 degrees with the heel lifted. Is that correct? And when i kick am i supposed too add another motion so do it's full potential? I'd be great if you guys could post your knowledge of Jeet Kune Do or a video or something i'd help alot.
And i've got another question where do you look in a fight? I've recently got in a fight and i will try my best not to get into this situation in the future but if the situation ever arises again i would like to know what i should be watching. When in the fight i noticed wasn't even paying attention to the person and i was dodging out his punches, is their some part of your brain which causes this reaction?
Thanks,
RedRage
