  • P.U.R.E Progressive Uninterrupted Rapid Execution

In today's world there are unlimtited possibilities and dangerous situations that can arise. Just because your an experienced martial artist, well trained or not, this does not guarantee success in surprise situations . For this reason I have coordinated a series of immediate responsive actions that could potentially change the course of an assault.....

    Hello Eric

This certainly sounds very interesting. Based on the comments in your post, would you be able to share more about the program:

What do you feel it ads, over and above other systerms, to the arsenal of an experienced, well trained martial artist?

In what way does your method change the course of an assault, and achieve the guarantee of success in a surprise situation?

As you have developed the P.U.R.E method yourself, how and why does it differ from the methods taught to you by Paul and Tom?

Look forward to hearing more, thanks

      Hello Michael Wright,

I want to go on the record as saying this is not over or above anything out there that is already functional. What I feel it ads is the approach, the mentality behind it, the moves that have not failed me to date.

There is no guarantee in any technique or situation.

I developed P.U.R.E thru actual encounters I engaged in, fights that could not be walked from, even the local club scenario as I was a bouncer served for many hours of honing in what I wanted to express.

I found myself not only using what I had learned from Paul and Tom but also doing things as I saw fit, based on spatial relation and tools at hand for my disposal. Much like R.A.T they were developed and honed based on Paul's teaching's and scenarios as he saw fit. Like almost anything in life I took what I was tought made it my own and found a few different ways to express myself and to have people view combat.

Ill take it one step further. KFM, those guys are JKD based and other art's of course but have developed something that is very impressive and functional in it's own right. Myself I tought P.U.R.E to my wife in it's birth and it actually saved her in an actual fight.

I am going to post on YouTube to explain in more detail here in the near future. My goal is to teach a different crowd in a different way. I am not Paul Vunak I am not Tom Cruise. I am teaching my experience, I am teaching the common man, not Government. Please be patient as I am still working on things and I haven't had all the resources and I am also being selective in who I take as student's as this already is bringing up controversy. You can find me on YouTube as well under DarkGiftConcepts.

By the way, Chris mentioned that you might be doing an article soon. Give me a call and I'll be happy to share strategies for making sure it gets to print.

Talk to you soon, my friend.
        Thank you brother!
I will call you soon about the article. I posted a response hope it helps so far.

              Mike,
Actually after speaking with Chris last nite, we discussed and I decided to come out with the 1st Dark Gift Concepts intro video early October.
For now just the site, as I work towards the direction DGC needs to go.

Mainly do to what we (Chris, you and I) have discussed in private. Presenting the early stages w/o getting into to much detail..Tact I guess would be the word I am grabbing for.

It would be interesting to see a sample of that. My tool box is fairly shallow.

Also wanted to comment on the PURE acronym... Sounds cutting edge!

                Nice to have you here!

I had posted this on another forum as to a reply to a question. Not sure if it has a place here but I thought the information might shed a bit more light until I get thru with the completion of the video. Here is what I wrote:

I am offering an approach to combat that starts from a mental stand point focused there 1st. Much of what I teach is based on my own exp. I do incorporate moves to help my new student's, I have also found as you all know it is about daily decrease. That in mind if I get a student that is not "green" I like to see what he has to offer, what this training has done to his body mechanics, and see his overall mental state and emotional state.

I often see "green" or "exp" student's often failing to see a few avenues not taken in combat. With this in mind P.U.R.E in a sense starts off teaching you a state of awareness, a view per say on the world as you venture out in it. A way to harness that Predator Instinct as well. If provoked in a altercation or fight or God forbid a life threatening situation. I put together a few moves, that as I served as an Independent Contractor for the Marine Corp and a Bouncer in a Riverside club known for having a lot of the bad element around.

I thru this and the fight's that crossed my path in combination with the training I had received from Paul Vunak and Tom Cruise. I began to view things differently. Yes please do not get me wrong R.A.T and the all the goodie stuff I was privy to from Paul and Tom have ALWAYS worked for me.

But what was learned for myself was I noticed how fights would unravel wether it was 1 on 1 skilled opponent or not or mass attack 1 on 3 or more. I began changing not only the way I thought of a fight, the way my body reacted to fight, but the way I engaged it.

In a sense PURE is mental, spiritual, physical, emotinal training.

The training is something that I am working on either bringing in video format or maybe do a simple introduction to Dark Gift Concepts as P.U.R.E is but one small bit of what D.G.C has to offer.

Mr. Traylor D.G.C.F.S was a student of mine back in 97-98 I opened his view on Martial Science and J.K.D, He was a great student and good friend he made Apprentice Instructor under me when I ran under Dark Gift Martial Art's/ Dark Gift Jeet Kune Do and is currently working towards his Full Instructorship. He will also be hosting me for a seminar at a date to be set.

A lot of what he shows on his site makes me very proud to see that he has not only opened his mind but adapted very well and kept searching for arts that flowed and were useful.

What I want to show yes, is being put out slowly because I am looking to run my business much differently than prior. I use to have seminars and student's and Full Instructor's under me. But I left as much of me needed to go Ronin and discover my own path and as to why?? what was being taught to me need to be modified to my own application and soul.

I am not saying that you will learn any new moves or maybe you will. But I am saying that what I am putting out there not only will help you in some way but make you a better Martial Artist.

                      Hi Eric,

Interesting stuff. I saw your website and not being familiar with most of the JKD set (I do NCGF), I was wondering if you could explain what these certifications are:

                      DGC Nucleus Instructor
                      Senior Full Instructor
                      Full Instructor
                      Phase 1 Instructor

As I said, I am not familair with JKD much, bu am thinking about pursuing it, maybe even to an instructors level. I have not seen these before, which OBLS or second gen gives these and what was required (time, testing, etc) to get to those levels?

I also see that youa re a professor. What college do you teach at? i have a friend ou near Scottsdale looking for a good school, especially if he can study martial arts at the same time.

                          Hello NCGF,
Please what is NCGF? I may know but I also know better to ask just incase.
As for the Certification levels they go as follows:

DGC Nucleus Instructor 10 of the closest Soul Friends, Student's, Instructor's, "One of the Boys" if you catch my drift. Hardest of all of them to be in..

Senior Full Instructor Explains itself but also at this level not only do you have alot of time in but are also associated with DGC business wise in alot of ways.

Full Instructor Top fighter's, good student's, Good Instructors, DGC business as well. But more freely put out there to perpetuate the teaching's of DGC

Phase 1 Instructor just got past apprentice, you are a competent fighter and have learned what it is DGC is instilling. You can also begin to teach what you have learned.

As for time in any set Certification. Well that is best explained by saying.... You better be patient or learn to acquire it because I am NOT like other JKD or any Martial Artist's I am not looking to do video Certs. I am not looking to delute anything I am about to put out. If you are loyal, have a good personality and willing to learn and grow and want to take a journey in self exploration then you are more than the willing candidate.

Now I am not a Professor at any college, I go by such or Maestro because I am not Chinese or Asian and no longer go by Sifu. I am a Westerner and so Sifu is not used in DGC.

This what I just explained is barley skimming the surface of what DGC is about, but I am on an IPhone and wanted to at least respond to you before the weekend were I am busy and won't be back till Monday. Hope this helps a bit and if you have any question or need more in depth information feel free to PM me.

Today I met a man while at Harley Dealership
He walked by me and stopped! As I turned he gestured to shake my hand as I went to do so he not only shook my hand but gave me a small stick. He spoke softly , and told me "big things are in your future and you will make an impact". That was it as I stood there holding my daughters hand I went to ask why would you tell me such things and I don't know you? He looked me dead in the eyes and said "'Sometimes it takes someone you don't know to make you listen".. and walked on...
Wow does not even begin to explain how I feel.
