  • Did Bruce Lee do trapping

I was watching those clips of Bruce sparring and I was thinking: Why doesnt he do any trapping??
Oke trapping is accidential, but I didnt C any trapping in those clips.
Also I saw Bruce as a pointfighter...Not combination to really kick some ass.
It looked like shotokan Karate instead of JKD...just punch to score a point.

YouTube - Bruce Lee - Sparring (Jeet Kune Do show)

there any more footage of this man. Cuz those backyard clips with some of those moviestars doensnt work for me.
Also im not impressed about those catz who Bruce sparred with.
Is there any impressive fighter that Bruce fought that we know?
Wong Jak Man is really a nobody, I mean who is he really?? ...I mean he is not Muhamed Ali or Fedor.
We all know him cuz he fought Bruce and then it wasnt even an impressive fight, it was more running around than fighting.

I really like the phylosophy of JKD...but was Bruce really a fighter??

My guess is that while Bruce could use traps for real, I think he may have questioned their practicality
for most trainees. If you read about the Seattle period, Lee used wing chun to easily control his students- most of whom were boxers
and street toughs over 5'10 and weighing over 200. Later, Lee would more than hold his own in sparring against world champions
like Lewis, Norris, Stone, Delgado, and others. It is true that Lee did not fight professionally, even though he must have known that there were
full-contact fights in Brazil and Japan. It is worth remembering that many BL students were ordinary guys with day jobs who became great martial artists
because of Bruce- they were not world champions, Olympic gold medalists, or men with transcendent natural gifts.
