  • Paul Vunak's weekend training

    Hi,
If there are any PFS trained students out there, I have a question.
I'm sure you've heard Paul Vunak speak at seminars or on his videos about "flight time" You need "1000 hours against a BJJ man,
    1000 hours against a Kickboxer...etc

So my question is, what is expected to be learned in his weekend
    intensives, say 12-14 hours.

Thanks in advance for your reponses.

I am not a PFS student, but I would say what you are learning are skills, "flight time" is the hours spent honing those skills against skilled resistence.

Paul is giving you the tools, concepts, ideas etc.. Then YOU have to actually put the time in to make those tools work your you.

Just my opinion, take it for what it is...

Yes, I would agree with WTG. I went out and trained with Paul last spring. And he that was he showed me didn't work unless one put in the mat time.

You guys nailed it on the head. I've been training with Paul for about 6 years, and the entire focus of the IPTP is to give you the tools and resources you need to get good. You CAN get really good, really fast...BUT, it's up to YOU to put in the "flight time" to sharpen your tools, improve your attributes, and gain a better understanding of JKD.
