  • Houston JKD and Muay Thai Role Call!

Hi ppl! Hmm... now what was I gonna jabber about? Oh yeah! Heh, for the last, lets see now, 4 years of my life I've been training on my own and trying to create a new style. My style is a mixture of JKD and Muay Thai. (In my opinion these two are the best fighting styles for street fighting ) With my new style I challanged most of my friends at school and many of them willingly sparred with me. (Our sparres are almost as real as a fight accept there are 2 rules which are No hits on the face or nuts) I, not bragging or anything, was able to beat every single one of them. The problem is I'm not satisfied with my progress. I had pretty hard time beating them even after my 4 years of studying so just now I just figured out something... I need a lil bit of help cuz it's very hard to develop techniques on you're own So just a few days ago I heard about this web-site and came over and WOAH... this place is awsome! Anyway, I'm going to join the school here in Houston, the one in Defend.net, and I read about the teachers and these dudes sound like they kick ass!

Now there's one problem though. Some people can really fight but when it comes to teaching they stink like a skunk. Are any of you people in Houston and go to this school? Can any of you tell me if the teachers are actually good at teaching? Well, anyway, thanx a lot!

    Hi,

The best way to find out would be to come in and try a free class.

As far as teaching ability, I've been teaching for about 15 years and also have a bachelor's degree in physical education.

The boxing instructor also has his degree in education and works fuilltime as a physical education teacher.

Come on in to any scheduled class and give it a try. Regular class schedule resumes after Jan. 3.

    Hope to see you soon,

    Tim Mousel

You sure about that free class man? It sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I even got my ride ready since you guys are so close to my house. Oh and you guys don't have any classes till Jan 3 right?

Jan. 3 boxing will be held at 7:00 pm. It's taught by Pat Swan so the free class doesn't apply to that. If you want to attend the boxing class it's only $10. You can attend any of my classes which are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's. My first class after the break is on Friday the 4th. You can have your first class for free to see whether you enjoy it or not.

I'm looking forward to meeting you.

        Tim
