  • Richard Bustillo and IMB

Has anyone here trained with Richard Bustillo or at one of his IMB schools? What was the training like?

    Thanks

I've attended some seminars with Sifu Richard. He's very good. He's also a very nice guy and fun to train with. I don't know if his seminars are different from his classes at IMB but here's my opinion on his seminars. Obviously, the fact that I've been to several indicates that I enjoy them

He sticks with basics and does a very good job of explaining things. His pace is slower than Guro Dan Inosanto's seminars ... which is neither good nor bad, just an observation.

If you've got a chance to train with him my advice would be to do it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I trained at the IMB when I was a visting student in Los Angeles. Sifu Bustillo is a very knowledgeable man and his training is a good mixture of a physical workout, lots of basics and clean good fun But that is my impression, I would suggest you go there and make up your own mind.

      Greetings

I have trained with Sifu Bustillo also. I am signing up today as a matter of fact at IMB. I have been training in Hapkido and I miss the training at IMB. Very good curriculum, very good facility and excellent instructors. I would very much reccomend it.
