  • Training in Ohio? Please help.

    Hey,
I will be moving to Ohio soon to attend school at Kent State University in Ohio. I was wondering if anyone knew of any Muay Thai or JKD schools close by to that area or Akron or Cleveland.
Cleveland is about 45 min. away but I could probably still get there about once or twice a week to train. Any help would be appreiciated.
Also does anyone know of any JKD instructors in Ohio at all?
    Thanks! seekthetruth00@hotmail.com

The JKD instructors that I know in OH are Tre Hockett in Columbus, Rick Teeple in Cincinnati, and Charles Reed in Cincinnati.

Something I should have mentioned and didn't ... if you don't find anything closer, you might try contacting one of the guys I mentioned (e-mail me at sikal@yahoo.com and I can try to get you contact info). I'm sure they're aware of the other JKD players in Ohio. As a Kali and Silat practitioner I was only peripherally aware of the JKD players.

Tre and Rick are both great guys, though, and I'm sure either one would be willing to help you any way they could.

            Here are some tips.

            1. Check internet http://www.yahoo.com/
            2. Check phone books.
            3. Check with people you know in the area.

            Hope this helped.
