Training in China...

Hey folks,

I'm relocating to Guangzhou, China come January - any leads for places to train? I'm not so much interested in Wu Shu. I know there's a guy teaching JKD in Shanghai, but that's a bit too far of a commute for me

Terry, I know you were in China earlier this year, did you make any MA contacts there?

There were a lot of people doing wu shu and tai chi in the parks when I went for a morning run in Hang Zhou and Shenzen. The most interesting guy I saw was just throwing a left side palm into a birch tree over and over.

My chinese language skills are pretty basic, so I wasn't able to communicate well with the locals I met on the street there. Guangzhou is the capital of Canton, right? There should be a lot of martial artists there I figure. I have no idea of how to find them though. Good luck.

Guangzhou is the capital of Canton. The people I'm going down with (Chinese Singaporeans) are all Cantonese speakers. One of them is quite interested in the martial arts, so he should be able to help.
