  • Pendulum?

I have some trouble understanding some JKD texts I'm reading because I don't know some terminology. Can anyone help me with these:

    1. What is the "pendulum footwork"?

    2. What is the "pendulum roundhouse kick"?

    3. What is the "fouette kick"?

    Thanks for any help!

No, I had some text printed out from the web describing JKD tactics. But good to know not to buy that book, I've been looking for a good book on JKD. I already asked about Burton's book but got no comments on it.

pendulum fot work. Rear foot replaces lead fot position as lead foot is shuffed forward. And just oppisite on retreat foot work. slide rear foot forward to lead foot shuffle lead foot forward equal to distance of the phasic stance. Then practice kisking per say lead foot out and forward with the rear leg. same done fore retreat. Hook kick do the same as above . slide rear foot forward lifting lead foot and exicuting a slight arcing hook kick. foute is basicly like a cross down stomp in a way. Shin knee they are primary tagets. rear foot comes forward useing instep or heel as striking tool. foot edged upward inside edge slight lift and fire across. Can be for leg checks to kicking leg stophit shin rakes entry strike what ever. . Suggest buy the tao and read it many times. Find a instructor. Order video tapes. Nothing beats hands on training.
