Sucker punch him when you are getting changed or something and knock his dumb ass out!

actually that is a bit harsh.

    Talk to the instructor.

Tosser? no, never heard that before. In fact, I could go call my boss a tosser several times right now to his face, and he would have NO idea what I'm talking about. Somehow it's more fun when they understand

Adding to my grab bag of international expletives.

You mean that bunch of tossers?

ps - Swan - sorry to harp on about him, but I had one of those silly "getting out of hands" situations with your mate. It was a bit like Chi Sao (not fully) and you were meant to lightly slap each other in the face if you got through. Except it semed that I wasn't meant to get through his guard, and he upped the contact level when I did. I matched him, blow for blow. I think that was the last lesson I went to.

I'm sure he's a nicer guy now, it was almost 20 years ago!

PPS - do you know a little guy called John. He came to our club in Leigh last year for a while. Very dedicated, and got good at grappling real fast. I think he's a Dan grade under Dave Turton.

I do know a guy called John (I know quite a few actually), if its the same one we're both referring to? I didn't know he was a grappler though?

            Who's Dave Turton?

As for the Chi Sao incident...I think that's one reason why I don't really want to get into teaching, even if I do have a lot of stuff to share. There are too many "banana skin" incidents waiting to happen for all to see (and talk about on the Internet)!

We don't really do Chi Sau in the classes these days!

So you travelled to Stoke from Manchester to train then all those years ago?

Block and move ... counter punch...get off the traintracks

He may be hitting you as hard as he wants to be hit..

Some people are just like that! There will always be someone like that somewhere he may be just passing down what somone did to him... Talk to your instructor.....

We are not playing cards though............

sadly, no. but it really, really should, along with all other british slang.

as for the tosser/wanker that's the topic of the thread, if you've got the opportunity, crash your elbow into his foot as a block as many times as it takes for him to stop using the thing...hopefully it will be bruised like mad by that point.
