    These are my favorite tapes:

Mousel's Self-Defense Academy and Mousel's Mixed Martial Arts Academy are martial arts organizations dedicated to the promotion of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do Concepts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Thaiboxing (Muay Thai), Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW), Filipino Martial Arts, Boxing, Reality-Based Self-Defense (RBSD) and Women's Self-Defense through seminars, and instructional DVDs. We're located inside O Athletik in the Heights, Houston, Texas.

(shameless plug...sorry! It was too tempting!)

      Fave tapes

      New to the forum!

      - Street Safe I, II, III - Vunak (TRS)
      - Killer Instict - Demi Barbito (TRS)
      - Functional JKD: Aliveness - Matt Thornton (Straight Blast)
      - How to build a Streetfighter in 40 hours - Cruse (TRS)

Reason I picked the Vunak Street Safe tapes in lieu of the PFS tapes is that they are incredibly well put together and offer a very good training method progression. The PFS tapes don't "flow" quite as well, although I definitely like a number of them quite a bit (Sierra Summit Workshops)

Demi's Killer Instinct series is phenomenal as has been mentioned. Tom Cruse's "How to build a streetfighter in 40 hours" wasn't mentioned previously, so I wanted to throw it out there. I didn't quite know what to expect with these tapes, but not only did they exceed my expectations, they took a LONG time to watch there is so much content. Cruse is a very good teacher.

Watching the Krav Maga series right now. Has anyone seen these?

      Hope this helps.
      Mike

Hey Mike how are you liking those Krav Maga tapes? How about a mini-review here, if you would...

The best video tapes I have viewed so far are Matt Thorton's Functional JKD Videos and Tony Blauer's Videos. Matt's tapes really help when it comes to the physical training and preparation of either sport or the street. Blauer's videos consist mainly of drills to prepare someone to handle street altercations as well the psychology of street attacks and attackers.

            Favorite Videos

I like all the SBG stuff, Vu stuff, Frank Cucci's stuff, Guro Dan's FMA stuff, The contradas, Renzo Gracie/Kukuk. I find Vu very entertaining. Tom Cruse has good material is good, but he kills me with his voice (also Steve Grody). Edgar Sulites stuff is also awesome. Dog Brothers rock! I don't like Chris Clugstons stuff, Randy Williams (he really bores me). As far as WC goes, Augustine Fong is good. I also have some ESPY stuff, can't remember his name, but his Wing Chun was really good.

              tapes

Steve Grody has the best tape on the empty hand FMA (IMO!!!).... if you can get past his voice and little grunts Kinda funny... I believe the Dog Bros gave him the name of Mr Peabody. Anyone ever see that cartoon?

                Burton Richardson

Check out Burton Richardson's Straighblast Series. There is 7 tapes available and they are awesome, covering all the ranges of combat. You won't be dissapointed!

Steve Grody's trapping tapes are comprehensive. They have more information than readilly digestible in a single viewing.

It's kind of interesting to watch the various assistants who appear on some tapes (especially older ones), who then go on to make (or have already made) their own tapes. Steve Grody is on Vu's Panther tapes, Ron Baliki is in some of Randy Williams' tapes as well as in Edgar Sulite's,
