  • The Old Mousels Forum...

    Hi all,

I don't know if many (or ANY) of you remember or even know of the OLD Mousel's forum. It was years ago. Tim had the only JKD forum on the net. You had to e-mail, call (harrass!) Tim to get a password to post. There was only one forum, and it was the old CGI forum that has become old hat on the net. I was a regular there, so was Kevin Curtis, Superstud, ed, Dave Green (AKA YODA), Alvis "Hound Dog" Solis, Rene Hinojisa and a few others.

I don't know why, but it just popped into my head and it brought back some cool memories.

    Tim, remember those days?

Sean, I do remember. I also had the only BJJ forum. I started them in 1994. There was an amazing amount of traffic on the forums back then. It was also a time when an infamous troublemaker had driven me to the point to where I was ready to start killing people! I have since learned to roll with the punches.

The old hurricane electric tree forums

I haven't posted here for a while. But, I remember those days. Back in 96'-98'. My favorite memory was of 4th of July weekend 1997. Mr. Mousel went on vacation, and much lunacy took place in his absence. I basically went out and got a computer just so I could post on that bjj forum full time. I remember those days fondly and think of them often.

                Great to hear from you.

Went to your site, saw your pic "Damm" Great improvement.

Ques. How has it improve your MA's, besides the extra energy.

                Was it diet ?
                Exercise ?

As I get older, it seems that it's harder to training harder.
I basically eat the same, but the six pack has turn slighly into a little keg (lol).

My hand speed and reflexes doesn't seem to dimish too much, partly because I train in the knife (slicing thru the the air I guess (lol)).

I definitly see the openings more and I do use the tech's from previous trainings to my benefit .

I guess it's like the old handball player in Manhatten Park courts, they don't move any faster but they do kick ass, I guess it's the smarter play thats to their advantage.

I actually do get back to Brooklyn a few times a year but it's mostly running back and forth between familly members and shopping ( wife's fault ).

This place is responsible for the change in KFO and why many of us ended up there. The Sam Wiley vs Marsalla/Masada posts were really very good.
