  • Finding a JKD Insructor shouldn't be so difficult

I've noticed that a lot of people are having a hard time finding a JKD teacher in their area and not getting many responses from their questions on this web site. Why don't we compile a list of teachers and websites by location. If everyone sends in one or two that might cover the whole country? I live in MA and can recommend a few in the northeast as well as websites for a few of the big names:

Dan Inosanto JKD Long Beach, CA- jkdassoc.com

Burton Richardson- Worldwide (i think) jkdunlimited.com offers JKD, Kali Video Training/Seminars

Paul Vunak- fighting.net offers Video Training/Seminars

Chris Kent- chriskent.org 800-874-5339 offers straight JKD A-Z Video Training

Ron Kosakowski- Practical Self Defense Training- Waterbury, CT thier website is PSDT.com 203-596-9073 offers jun fan JKD, kali, Silat, FMA

Will Russel- Unified School of JKD Holyole, MA 413-533-9030

I will try to come up with a few more

The website for Dan Inosanto is www.inosanto.com, the site you gave is for Larry Hartsell.

      re JKD Instructors

      Thankyou for making that correction.

I also want to point out that there is a very extensive listing of JKD instructors by state on Paul Vunak's site www.fighting.net

Although, just because someone is listed on a particular instructor's website doesn't make them a good representative for JKD training. Under certain organizations a nice chunk of money and one weekend of training will get you an instructor's certification. These are people that are supposed to be credible.

You can also go to www.inosanto.com and search for an instructor in your area. Pretty much any instructor will at least email you back to tell you if they have a rep in the area.

            credible instructors

Good point. Hopefully we as students can recommend the best of the best. I just gave the few that I am familiar with and have heard good things about. I'm sure there are some out there who are just trying to make buck though.
