      Nutz,
First hand knowledge myself, I have been out since 93 however. We could probably argue back and forth on this for most of the day, too many factors (location, world events, etc.) Your comment about alot of people not seeing action is dead on tho.

not seeing action! come on, the globe is a hot spot ,there is action everywhere. do you think those troops stayed on ship in africa? course not, special ops was doing their work unreported. as for our soldiers just sitting around doing nothing- what units are they from- type and error- ? U.S.A. is so hot in action right now that its unreal. swat = seals, not even maybe x10. swords cutting off heads, you have been watching too much t.v.. have you ever heard of Bahala Na? Our boys have to get the job done thru all extremes, no ifs, ands, buts about it. GOD bless our U.S.A.

now think about all of the special ops back in the mainland training. Trust me, it outweighs the ones actually handling missions.

Vunak and Tom Cruse trained the Seal Team six in Virginia in the 90's when i asked Vunak about his Seal days he said it was the longest three years of his life. He trained the seals eight hours a day and some times had to fight the ones who thought his stuff didn't work. Then at night they would end up at military bars or biker bars and be in a fight again. Military guys have alot of confidence and testerone. Vunak just said that its ok to fight but to have to fight for you life almost everyday well thats no life to live. SO he moved back to his home land in Cali and left Frank Cucci in charge. I know that recently some people may have had some problems with Vu and training. But everytime i trained with VU he had his arms wide open and treated me extra well. He took care of everything. I think some of you guys on this forum must watch to many soap operas you like the drama of all ways talking about other people. You sound like a group of women not martial artists. Vunak is his own person and you except him for who he is or don't train with him plain and simple!! I can assure you when you train with him he will completely change you view on martial arts forever. AS far as people getting screwed by Vunak whos to say whether this actually happened or not alot of people talk smack on these forums but use nicknames. WHat are you afraid of people actually knowing who you are. Step up to the plate and worry about you own training and less about your computer keyboard.

            Just another mans opinion

How very well educated you are. You bigoted, sexist arse hole.

I wouldn't go near Paul Vunak with a barge pole. 1,000's of dollars and then he f ucks about and leaves you dissatisfied.......

AND THEN YOU GET AN INSTRUCTOR'S CERTIFICATE ANYWAY

Vu has offered the martial arts community so much, maybe not you, but i have attained very much as well as many others that i know of .

Oh its all heresay and gossip......

But it does seem to be coming from many different places. If he has problems, he has problems. Its nice if he has friends to help him sort them out.

But its not nice of him to take peoples money and leave them dissatisfied.

"Last time I checked, he was currently in charge of much of the SEAL H2H and CQB training. They hold him in very high regard, and are very quiet about what goes on."

That's for sure. I had a chance to spend some time with the Master Chief of DevGroup last year, out at a gun school in Virginia. The owner of the school is personal friends with a lot of those guy's, including Duane, having done everything from taking part in their weddings to building custom guns for members of the teams to give to their compadres at retirement parties. Oh yeah, and doing a little training in the area of shooting as well.

One thing I learned, these guy's hold confidentiality in highest regard. If you never want to work with them again, make sure you mention the words, Navy SEALs, Special Forces or whatever, in every advert. Nothing burns your working relationship faster than them thinking you are using them for credibility.

BTW, Duane just booked a new training facility currently being built in Virginia, for one year solid. All DOD contracts. Duane has their trust and respect and has had it for around 15 or 20 years.

As far as his actual system, I don't know much but I do know one of the keys is this, its based on an integrated approach to fighting with a rifle, pistol, knife, empty hands and improvised weapons.

                                Paul,
Thanks for that informitive post, dude.

I can understand and respect that. This is precisely why it's foolish to put faith in claims of "trained deadly special forces commandos for many years..." Anybody who makes a major effort to use special forces as a selling point probably didn't have much of a relationship with them to begin with if at all.

I have heard this as well. I sincerely doubt that the SEALs would keep around an instructor who teaches them to use only one facet of the entire CQB 'game.' Maybe bring him in to teach a bit, but not hold onto him for a very extended period of time.

BTW, Duane just booked a new training facility currently being built in Virginia, for one year solid.
As I'm from Virgina and I get down there pretty frequently, I'd be interested in checking it out. Do you know whether they are open to civilians?

                                Thanks for your input, Paul.
