Just last monday I sent off my dvd to test for my 2nd dan. Now I have to bite my fingernails till my sensi contacts me late sometime next week. It's been over 11 years since I last tested, and this is my first dvd testing.
I it took me and my son almost 2 hrs to tape 12 minutes of continues material. Goodness I didn't know it was so difficult to do, a movie super star i am not lol.

But in preparing for this test I needed many elements; physical, emotional and mental. A key segment to my focus was MA comraudary, hense

I'm in a similar predicament. I am training/studying for my second dan in JJJ. I got injured back in april and that slowed things down a lot. In September I got my official cirriculum. It is a two man form. I pre-tested two weeks ago but may have to wait months for the official test. I've been 1st dan for 3 years. If you wanna see my 2nd dan requirement go to youtube and type in kime no kata. There are several versions; check out the japanese judoka or the tori franco version. Good luck on your testing vid!!
