i had 2 "serious" injuries so far, all during last year >_<
- i didn't "land" correctly after a twieo ap chagi, i busted my big toe rather seriously cuz of that, it was blue for 2 weeks, was my own dumb fault i guess, trying to impress some ppl ;(
- i had a muscle injury at my adductors which forced me to stop training for about 3 months, now while its supposed to be cured i still can't kick very high with my left leg which is pretty annoying :\ don't think it'll ever be the same as b4
Go through one class of us doing kyushojutsu (pressure point attacks) or koppojutsu (bone strikes) and you won't be feeling too well I still have a lot of red welts from that shit.

those aren't really injuries i think its just teaching stuff by showing it, like they say: "no pain, no gain"
Try telling that to yourself when you wake up the next day and your tongues so thick you can't swallow, all you can do is hobble around painfully, can barely lift your arms, and it looks like either your girlfriend got carried away with the hickeys or you have a serious skin problem
I just recently (last Wednesday) got another injury. My instructor decided to have us do run jump sides for distance. on my last jump I landed a bit short without anticipating it and so I landed wrong and seem to have hyperextended my knee/strained some knee muscle. Stupid of me eh?

LOL, that brings back memories. . . .
The red welts are good, they help you remember where the points are
how do u immune again pain? By taking drugs? It also reminds me a movie: The Mask, the warriors got their nerves removed off, so they cant feel pain.
Some people are just born with more hormones in their body that allows them to withstand a lot more pain than others, so there is very little you can do about that. Just bear with it and practice constantly on taking some pain and you'll get better at taking it.
Some people will just blow your mind however. There's this guy Butch in the Bujinkan who is virtually immune to any kind of pressure point or vital strikes. Even our Soke has trouble causing a little pain in him, as according to him he just takes his mind to another place, smiles, and bears it. The guy's an animal.
I essentially do the same thing to deal with pain, I feel it, I just disregard it. feeling the pain does me no good so I don't listen to it (unless I can see something seriously wrong) this allows me to know if something's wrong with me but also to continue doing what needs to be done. I don't believe you can truly make yourself immune to pain, you can, however, reduce the pain to a point where it doesn't bother you.
