    ONE SIDED FIGHTS!
Hell yes... I want to be a fight promoter.
Femmy guys from a gay bar, and angry girls with no previous martial arts knowledge make great fights to watch.
    "You bitch!"
    I love it.

                      • andrew wa - have you had your sleep over and watched the movie yet...okay, then never bash wrestling again. also, the gi comment was directed strictly towards tkd, but if any other martial art takes offense, then just come to oklahoma and beet me up and i will learn my lesson. i do not think i am so nhb, but that is what i train in. i refer to it the most because of my respect for it. i honestly do not get into many fights, but i do spar a lot with a muay thai guy and my takedowns work pretty well. i agree you cannot rely on wrestling alone. it is just part of what you need. i personally pick muay thai (standup), wrestling (takedowns), and jui-jutsu (ground fighting).
You are an idiot and a piece of shit? Man you dont make sense. Why do you talk like that?
Anyway I would probably love that DVD you talk about. Im poor I dont have cash. Anyway I love all martial arts and respect them all. I respect wrestling a lot and judo and anything else about grappeling. Im not closed minded about TKD and only think its the best. If I had a chance I would train in whatver if it benefited my fighting. But for me I do TKD because ive been in it so long I dont want to just give it up plus the techniques I learned suit me well. There is plently of good stand up fighting techniques and it has made me very flexible. Its also gotten me strong and gave me good cardio over the years. TKD has very good effective basic moves. Just because there are some flying pretty demo kicks added does not mean we focus on it. And as for pads I never spar with them in class. We always spar with no pads. Of course we dont go full force because we dont want to injure each other. And doesnt wrestling have HEADGEAR? I am not going to be ignorant and think that when a wrestler vomes to fight me he is going to wear his headgear to protect from coliflower ears. So dont assume a TKD stylist is going to wear his pads either. Traditional TKD doesnt even use pads ussually. Also not everyone in the world is a NHB person. So a lot of tournaments are made for people who are not into that hardcore fighting. I respect NHB fighting a lot more then TKD tournaments. but I know TKD has good kicking and fast kicking, and it DOES USE HANDS and there are a LOT of hand tchniques. Also knees and elbows. Its not much differnt from muy thai. They have some of the same techniques its just a different approach. I know I probably wont get anywhere with this. but yes I understand a lot of college TKD classes blow chunks and a lot of schools for that matter. but dont bash an art because people exploit it. TKD has a lot of the same stuff kickboxing does.

                        • Here is clips of most of the TKD hyungs http://www.natkd.com/video_clips.htm
All I can say about their techniques on these clips is that they suck and in no way should represent a black belt. I mean its pathetic. Look at the horrible stances and rapid weird movements and is his fist even straight? Geez! Long haired freak!

Unfortunatly this is what the majority of TKD has become(thats why people bash it). These forms are pretty much standard rank requirements.
I wonder if this is what Zhorner was talking about"chon-ji".........

                            • hahaha, I love those vids of the forms.

the show somebody going through the motions with no concept of the application. I see this at most of the school I go to. No use of the hips or legs during hand techniques.

But that's what happens when you have someone who teaches by imitation of their instructor and then teaches it to someone then to someone else. pretty soon people are dancing more than martial arts.

It is not the systems fault that people do not comprehend what it was they were supposed to be learning.

this is exactly what i was talking about, but i have to watch overweight women struggle to do the first moves. which is probably not much worse than watching that long haired monkey do them. ANDREW WA i do agree with you on the flexibility part, i have only been in tkd for a few months and my flexibility has greatly improved. I have also started stretching after every workout so combined they have helped me out a lot. I really do think that you would love that movie, ask for it for your birthday or something, it is what really got me interested in nhb. not only does it show this guy fight, but it follows him around when his career is peaking, plus it shows him shooting up pain killers, ( no wonder he is such a bad ass, he cant feel a thing ).
