Okay let me get really specific here:

    - There are currently 2 very big TKD schools in the area. I trained both the owners of the schools up to their 2nd degrees. I never got past my 1st degree, I'm still a 1st degree BB. Because I choose to, that and it's like $200 to get my 2nd degree. Yeah, no thanks. I don't need validation from a golden stripe on my belt. I'll get it in time. I've been training for 7 years and fast approaching my 8th year in TKD. I SHOULD be approaching my 3rd degree. It takes 4 years to get your BB (minimum), and then 1-2 for 2nd and another 1-2 for your third.

-I'm not trying to get into arguments. Not at all. I was just poking fun at this kid. I don't think 8 years is a short time to develop some philosophies. I haven't really had contact with many masters, and I"m sure none of the philosophies are of my own. Such as toning down the flashy kicks and using them when necessary. I teach jumping kicks a lot, but I teach when to use them and when not to. I teach the effectiveness of leg kicks and blocking in conjuction with TKD style kicks.

    - All the training methods that I have "developed" are from trial and error on my part, a few of them I got from my dad. I used them to train many of my students who have gone and got some nifty national titles in olympic sparring. It worked for them. Not something I'm into, but hey I don't think little 10-11 year olds are into NHB MMA stuff.

    - A lot of the stuff I use to teach I "devloped" during my time taking Honors Anatomy in school. I just kind of used some A + B = C thinking.

Look, I'm not trying to be an ass. I'm the nicest person you'll ever meet. I'm just overly zealous about some subjects. I act like a domineering jackass all the time, it's just a front for my effeminate and ultra-super caring nature for everyone. Even people I hate. Don't take anything I say personally. This is the only way I can balance out my psyche.

How do you get a ninja to spar? ask them to spar with you. From the description you gave it doesn't sound like he practices real ninjutsu.

Yes ninjutsu is a real martial art, you can find some video clips of it at www.genbukan.org, check out the genbukan ninpou bugei techniques section for videos.

There isn't any particular 'stance' for a 'ninja'. The most common posture you will see them in once sparring starts might be ichimonji no kamae where the left arm is extended and the right arm is covering the chest / neck area. It's a pretty versatile stance but even so, someone trained in ninjutsu won't hold a posture for long as the idea of ninjutsu is to move naturally, not be stuck in stances.

look we ninja's do not go looking around for fightings ,im a genbukan and bujinkan ninja and i dont go around looking for fights or spars with non-ninja members, firstly because its a different art / style and i dont compete to prove the advantages of one style over another . i only fight when i need to ,because i dont want to harm anyone ,the media gives of the wrong image of ninjas , we are not tempermental people who kill someone over a sandwiche or a dirty look. we are just like anyone , but we dont go looking around for fights and under genbukan rules we are not allowed to compete in tournaments or to some extent spare with other martial arts members, its a M.A that does the job quick and thats it

only tarnish our image im tired of all the stupid ninja jokes

                ciao

I wanted to be a ninja when i was small, but then i became a shaolin warrior. Besides, i hated the way that the big toe was seperated on the tabby boots. But swords are totally sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

so what IS the point if being a so called "ninja"?

self defence? get pocket knife, there, pull it out if someone threatens you and you're home free.

This kid might go to a stupid mcdojo and doesnt know how to fight and is scared of you. He obviously is intimidated and that is why he doesnt want to fight at your gym. He is probably all talk about his training like a lot of kids in ninja fantasies are. I knew one ninja kid once and he wouldnt ever meet with me to spar either and then stopped emailing me. I met him in real life by the way and only used email to talk about a time to meet.

A guy doing real ninjustsu at a real school would probably come and spar with you for fun, especially if you were friends with him.
A lot of MA schools are allowed to be affiliated with actual organizations but they are free to do their own thing, and a lot of them dont let their students spar and only want them to practice theory and do forms which is stupid.

But if you pressure the guy enough he might come. The key is to be respectful 100% of him and his style and how he trains and when you beat him or whatever you still have to respect him and uplift him anyway. Thats how you can make good friends and help them train harder for their style. No one needs to ditch their MA style just because they got beat, unless they really want to.

um i studied genbukan and bujinkan ninjitsu , i dont like to fight others unless necessary , i dont like others who bash a art form in the process , i respect other art forms , i just prefer not to spar random people . i do spar with my tai chi friends and tkd friends. its just that i dont randomly go looking for sparring partners , its not a nature of martials arts in general.
i am selective, i dont challenge a guy unless i really find the guy pisses me off big time , even then im very calm , sparring is a great way to release tension . real wise yes most martial art forms state you should not spar other forms or others, but we have freedom, wha

dude i suggest u dont call anyone's dojo a "mcdojo", thats pretty insulting , regardless of who u directed it towards .

what kind of martial arts do u study anyways ?
