He is an Instructor under Inosanto.

I would talk to your instructor and tell him your concerns. He is more than capable of teaching you a quality art. Perhaps talking to him would help as he can tell you what his reasons for teaching you what he is.

I wish I had an Inosanto instructor available to me in my area.

Hapkido is a good well rounded MA. True they don't spend a lot of time on punching so I mix it with MT.....eventually I'll be teaching it as something like an MMA style. It's all in the training man.
