i dont use them and find it unneccesary to wear them, but its a matter of choice.

just buy one, but my advice train whitout them...

I was thinking of getting them for sparring more since I don't want to crack my foot on someone's elbow.

Don't wear shoes, but if you must, look for PINE TREE BRAND. Next would be Adidas.

Agreed. A female friend of mine uses the Pine Tree brand, seems to work for her.
