And our walk behind side kicks are pretty deadly, i mean easily take out a couple ribs, same with turn side kick (back kick) - although not as many people get as much power from it (er, i get more though, i have extremily good balance due to 10 years of ballet tap and jazz dancing).

Oh, btw we do alot of power moves with our hands, like knife hand and punches, (er, most of our BB 's can break through those big concrete things that they build schools out of easily)

In tkd if u got balance and flexiblity its really easy to get fast and alot of power,
Well, I'll put it to you this way. You take your TKD snap kick and add double the power and then a little more and you have a MT kick. Using a kick for the head in anything other than a TKD tournament is just asking to get your ass handed to you. Problem with the TKD kicks is they have to be cocked back and then shot out........now what happens when I shoot into this kick and jam it up? You are skrewed!!!

You took ballet???? I hope you are a girl.......please be a girl, please be a girl........don't come back and tell me you are a guy......

So you know some people that can break some concrete blocks? So what? I am sure that if the concrete block could defend itself the TKD master would be no match.......so that is what they do in TKD now? pick on poor helpless blocks of concrete.........what a shame........

I know you are new to the board and you are pretty young so I am gonna let it slide this time, but I won't next time.....lol

If it makes any consulation to you it kinda sounds like you know something about TKD........not sure if that's a compliment though.....lol

Okay........when you say that Hapkido grappling is better than BJJ you are either:

      1. smoking some serious crack

      or

      2. just f'@#king dumb (otherwise dont' know what the hell you are talking about)

      • for one, i am a guy (er, i dont' thing anyone would complain about dancing with a bunch of hot girls wearing very little , not to mention very tight outfits, and doing alot of lifts and stuff ) and its givin me great balance, and btw i don't wear tights :P

now, back to tkd, for one, the concrete blocks were just an example that we do use our hands in tkd, as many have assumed that we dont use any.

For another, i don't give a flying #$%@ how hard your kicks are, if a tkd guy can move faster and kick faster, you don't stand a chance, whats the point of having alot of power if you can't even hit your opposition? You all assume that MT is soo much better, and no matter what i say, someone will always "claim" that MT kicks are twice as hard as tkd, when thats not necessarily true,
It all depends on the instructor, and i think most of you , have taken the sport tkd, which has no power compared to the actual art of tkd.

          • I have seen this all too many times. I know what the problem is you have not faced off with someone from any other martial art. It's okay though man, we understand. I have known several people that have done TKD and then changed to MT. Now they will show you there TKD kick and then do it MT style to show you the difference. I am sorry but although the TKD kicks usually have more speed the power is just not the same as the MT kick. How can you say that TKD kicks would even come close to MT kicks when you openly admited that you have not seen MT kicks.

                • i didn't say that they came close, i just stated that i think that you guys are comparing MT with the sport TKD kicks, and not the actual art of TKD, i've taken both and i can say that the art TKD is about 10 times harder (at the bare minimum) then the sport.
