  • Tap-out from drowing

A few days ago I was rolling with a friend of mine and he had me in side mount and had is hand on my chest. He moved his hand up to my neck to hold my head down so he could try to mount me and as he tried to mount meI pushed his leg and he got off balance bringing his hand up to my chin and he grabbed on. Somehow his fingers went under my bottom jaw and pushed up making me feel like I was going to choke. I had a lot of spit in my mouth and tried to swallow but I couldn't and I couldn't hardly breathe through my nose (bad sinus)> I had to tap out because I couldn't swallow, felt like I was going to puke and I couldn't breathe. It felt like I was almost drowning again. (I almost died when I was 8 years old by drowning and it felt almost the same). He just looked at me and said, " I didn' even have anything on you." I had to tell him about everything. Has anything like that ever happened to any of you?

there is a pressure point under the jaw that can cause that sensation. Welcome to the world of pressurepoints. Once you realize that it won't hurt you, you can sometimes fight through it depending on how suseptiable you are to it.
