I went to my first BJJ class. I went with my gf who has been going for a little over a year now. This is what I learned:
1. If someone is in my guard and they are chocking you, basically you swing your leg around there head and grab unto there arm, and then sorta pull them down to the side with there arm in between your legs, putting them in an arm bar.
2. We learned if we are in someones guard and they have ahold of your arm, dont try to pull away. You lean your body down towards them, bending your arm, and then thrust it down, with your elbow going towards there crotch.
3. I think this was called the triangle. Someone is in your guard and they stick there arm under your leg, you kinda move one leg around to put them in a hold with your leg and choke them out.
4. If someone is in your guard, you have there head pulled close to you, then you push your hips out to the side, and pull your shoulders back. Then you kick there right knee with your left foot, then swing your right foot up over them as high as you can and they just roll over, with you ending up on top. You then choke them out.
It was alot of fun, but I still sucked at alot of those moves. I need alot more practice. I have found a place down here at my college that has a BJJ class mon wed fri. I am going tommorow to try it out. I can't wait.
