  • Where is a good place to train in West Los Anges?

I'm looking for a good (reasonably priced) place to train BJJ in West Los Angels. Could be a BJJ school or a YMCA with a group that wants to train--doesn't matter. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Either Machado brothers or go to Inosanto Academy and take Machado Jiu Jitsu there. Personally, I would check into Erik Paulson's CSW out there in L.A. I think you may find Erik's curriculum more complete.....

hey jimi, have you or do you train under paulson. ive been interested in taking his classes but have had a hard time finding info on his classes.

how much are they, how many classes doese that include and most importantly how do you like his curriculam.

ive been to one of his seminars before and i thought his stuff was pretty nice, but i had almost no bjj training and it was all ackward at the time.

I train under one of his Instructors here in Salt Lake City. I am a firm believer in his system, which its roots come from his Shooto background. As most know, Erik Paulson was the undefeated champ in Japan for many years. In my opinion, his system is the most complete fighting system out there and works every range possible. I am not sure where you live, but if he has an affiliate or instructor near you, I would definately go train there.

Among being a champion fighter, Erik Paulson also belongs to a tight knit family under Guro Dan Inosanto. These men and woman are dedicated to keeping honor in the martial arts, and most of all keeping it like family.
