Lion's Den Fighters

I just glanced through some of Shamrock's "Inside the Lion's Den" - sounds like some pretty intense shizzy. Anyone have any experience with the Lion's Den?

The combined MMA record of the Lion's Den from what I figure is about .500. They win half, lose half. And I was never impressed by their submission skills, though I do like Guy Mezger and Tra Telligman.

The book is a right load of crap. Stupid stories, written atrociously badly. And a so called technical section that is so basic as to be meaningless.

Guy is probably the best fighter they have. I dont know if frank is still with them, he is damn good now too.

Frank hasn't been with them since his Pancrase days. Even as early as his middleweight title win over Kevin Jackson, he was already training in the Alliance, with Maurice Smith. I think he realized the limitations of their training and fighting system and made a good move onward.

Tra Telligman is a good fighter, he didn't impress me at first but he had some impressive fights later on.

Guy Mezger is an elite fighter.

Pete Williams managed an impressive record but I never thought he could stand up to the elite fighters. But he's still a good heavyweight and was a legit contender for a while.

Jerry Bohlander was a mediocre middleweight, he didn't last that long in the big leagues as the fighting game evolved and left him in the dust.

Mikey Burnett was a fantastic lightweight and should have had an elite career but for some reason didn't get the opportunities he deserved. His 'loss' to Militech was total bs, even Militech seemed surprised to get the decision; that groin shot call that supposedly made the difference in that fight was questionable to say the least. I think Burnett could beat the piss out of almost any lightweight from that time and maybe even now.

Ken Shamrock is the most overrated overhyped fighter ever. He shouldn't have been an elite UFC fighter, didn't deserve to be in the superfight, didn't deserve to have a UFC video about him, co-authored a crappy book, and somehow became to regarded as a top heavyweight. He NEVER redeemed himself against Royce Gracie no matter what garbage his sewer of a book spews out. He lost in a minute the first time, and then fought a clear boring draw, where is the redemption? Especially considering his tremendous strength and size!

I was very suprised when pete beat Mark Coleman. That kick stunned me and I bet it stunned Coleman pretty good too.
