  • Shredder Conference (Dimitri, not Donatello)

No nothing to do withthe Turtles

Am looking to get tickets for the Dimitri conference in february, if anyone else is interested here are the details.

And if anyone has been along before let me know what you thought of it.

Oh yeah, and can someone point me in the direction to order them thar tickets too...

    Shredder seminar

The Shredder, when deployed as designed, immediately creates the "defensive reflexive response" in one's opponent. He has no choice but to defend and become the prey! The body becomes a slave to it's own reactions... it avoids punishment, it reacts to physical, psychological and visual stimulus. The Shredder attacks all of the body's systemic weaknesses all at once. Devastating and overwhelming the body and mind's capacity to the advantage of the one skilled in deploying it.

    Sunday 1st February 2004
Tokei martial arts and fitness centre
    Magdalen Street
    London SE1

    11am to 4pm
£50 pre-registration fee or £65 cash only at the door

    EDIT:

Sorry to be a stick in the mud, but I don't send money to people I meet on forums. I have sent an email to the seminar address, I hope to be surprised by an email from you about tickets to my private email account

              Hi Jules

yes he has. One story concerns him fighting four other guys in a bar, i think its on his web site somwhere. drop him an email, he would happily answer any questions personally rdimitri@senshido.com. it would be unfare for me to comment accuratley on his experiences

              best wishes

Les is correct. Several of Dimitri's students including bouncers have used it with great success. As for me, I haven't had to use it in a real fight but it has never failed me in sparring yet, it has always worked exactly as depicted and that was in simulation. I can only imagine the potential damage it can do if applied full out.

Word has it that he may be coming to your neck of the woods Jared. If that be the case, I may be making a road trip.

Dimitri's traveling from Canada to England and everyone knows London England isn't the cheapest place on earth. Figure he's got to at least cover his expenses. Besides, it is well worth the $90 US$ for a Senshido seminar, if it is anything like his instructional tapes you won't be dissapointed.

Spank, I may be interested if he did come to Seattle/Portland. Of course, I would have to be assured the seminar would consist of more than just eye-gouging, and the price would have to be right !!

Just think of it as a golden opportunity to beat up on ol' Spanky.

I am so out of practice, I think the 50 year old Spank might be able to gain the upper hand. Heh.

But seriously keep me posted if a shredder seminar is taught in the Pac Northwest.

You guys are lucky. There's no way I can get to England.
I'll be working my way up to Montreal sometime in the near future.
