not really mate, it happened to me too, but you will notice that your body gets used to it and after a couple of months the bruising will be minimal.
    best of luck.

I have only had a couple of bruises my entire life but none of them came from wrestling or fighting although I did get knocked upside the head a few times. I got some of my worst bruises playing soccer and volleyball. yes volleyball. The inside of my forearms turned purple to my surprise. also you can load up on some vitamins and minerals although I forgot which ones but they can help prevent a little if you don't get enough. Thats how some skinny people bruise real easy.

both my biceps are purple looking and my forearms have finger print marks. I wish I had a camera to show you guys. Also been getting burn marks on my toes and my elbows hurt from being hyperextended. It hurts but I am still loving it!

Wear your bruises proudly. They just show you like to play rough. You can use some Vitamin E to help reduce them though.

You will bruise less and less as you spend time on the mat. The body builds blood flow and tissue strengthens as you continue to use it. The mat burn will turn to calluses on your feet. Tape over any open sores on your toes.

if I had $1 for every bruise I got from training Jiu Jitsu, I'd be having Bill Gates as my IT office boy

yeah its true. I don't bruise easy. My first bruise that I can remember was in the second grade while playing soccer I slide after a ball and a kid lands on my leg hypertextending my knee a little and making this huge ugly bruise on my shin that took forever to go away. And one time I got a shot because I never had the chicken pox and a whole bunch of other shots I needed and my arm bruised because they screwed that up when they put the needles in me over and over again. yeah but I can get a bruise from a stupid needle but I have not had one for getting popped in the head by a door knob when I ran into it face first full speed like a moron after the phone. ofcourse its been a while since I have ever been in a fight so I would probably get one if I got hit hard enough but then again maybe not. You know what I'm going to hit myself with my training sticks and see what happens.

Keep at it - your body will adjust accordingly, and soon YOU will be the bruiser rather than the bruisee .

Also, some priceless advice to prevent marks on your triceps - whenever your partner is going to practice full mount on you, BE SURE to raise your arms above your head to prevent his knees from pinching the skin under your triceps!!!! (this is only when he first gets in the position, for God's sake don't keep your arms there while rolling, fight the MF lol). If you don't know what I mean, then you just haven't practice under the full mount enough! lol

                          Best regards,
