poke him in the eye, punch him in the throat, kick him in the balls, shoot him in the head with a .45. these will not only start a fight but they will help end it too.

From my experience, while minimal, most people in fights always go for a head shot first. And most people expect that first. So I try to always make it a point to throw a good stomach shot, to start things off.

If you knock the wind out of the guy, you have already beat him. Another one that worked for me was just a regular leg kick. Front or round work, with front try to aim for the knee, with a side do the same but go for the side or back of the knee.

I havent been in many fights, but the ones I have been in I have won. These worked for me but they might not work as well for you.

wild hooks. every fight I have seen they always start with the wide hooks. Easy just close the gap with a front kick to the mid section or ball and go in with a headbutt and don't stop till their face looks like lasagna hamburger helper.

impossible.although a head butt is a good fight opener, you would never be able to direct one accurately after a front kick.
after a good front kick your opponent will be either pushed back by the force or fold over in a heap from being winded making a head butt IMPOSSIBLE! as your next strike.
            a knee?, maybe.

Gracilva, I agree with the front kick. A lot of guys are prolly expecting just an all out fist brawl - a good front push kick is definetly unexpected, and it's a great way to startle your opponent just momentarily to close the distance for a clinch. Let the Force, Chi, or any other training guide you from there - you have successfully put your opponent either on the defensive or at least in a position where you have more experience . . .hopefully .

yeah but i wouldn't use it as a push kick.
i think your first strike has to be as hard as possible
so it would be a full force snap kick.
with your hands up it protects most of your body.
i.m.o it is not only a good fight opener but if done properly
it will be a fight finisher.
you also have a very big target to aim for, anywhere
between the nuts to the face(lots of room for error)
sets them up for a quillotine too.

dont know about the "chi" stuff mate, but whatever works for you

                cheers.

The Chi and Force quote was a joke and a bit of a "jab" at another thread .

As far as a full force front snap kick - I find that move one of the easiest to counter - you have to get in a lil deep for it to hit the groin, plus if the guy is in a normal fighting stance you run the risk of kicking straight into the elbows and breaking your foot. Also, it has a high risk of getting caught, especially the higher you aim it. Then again, like you said, whatever works for you.

I found the front push kick used as a jab (off your front leg) a great move since it's relatively safe if aimed low. Very hard to catch unless the guy bends over to grab your leg which just makes his head a beacon for a punch or guillotine. It's also a great setup to just give a split second of hesitation on the opponent's part for that quick shot to either takedown or clinch your opponent.

                  Best regards,

thats exactly what i mean't.as long as the "push" kick isn't supposed to be just a push, and its done with full force, then yeah i agree.
also kicks should only be tryed if you are very good at them, if not they just get you in trouble

whatever techinique you are best with in speed and power.
everyone has their strength in certain areas.

i open with a kick to the leg joints. I played soccer for 10 years so my legs are very strong. if the distance is short. ground and pound baby!

I agree with the stong full force pushkick, or maybe a full force shin roundhouse to the kidney/thigh/knee Muay thai style.

the best opener is to act like a homosexual and try to flirt with him.. he'll be the one running away from you !!

I would say that best oppener would be something like:

"dude relax i don't want to fight you"

or any other thing that would help get out of fight.

because avoided fight - is a fight that you won.
                              imho.

A good fight opener for me would be:

                                "Sorry dude I slept with your girlfriend...and your sister...your mom...um...look a plane!!"
and then I spit acid into his face like the aliens in the movie aliens and make a run for it.
