Onassis originally post his comments (with username Subitai) on another thread in regards to other posters questioning whether he used kung fu in his fight:

The first page of that thread can be found here:

The style he listed representing in the UFC is Tung Kong:
The industry pioneer in UFC, Bellator and all things MMA (aka Ultimate Fighting). MMA news, interviews, pictures, videos and more since 1997.

In his post fight interview, he said he used a "Thai leg kick" and a wrestling "grapevine" to win. The top three martial arts he listed on his web site as being most important to his style are Tung Kong Kalan(Arnis de Mano), Judo, and Wrestling.

My impression was that he was being respectable and polite since he was posting to a kung fu forum.

first and foremost, Onassis Purungao has always been a Filipino Martial artist. In fact some of his family posted on this topic over on pinoymma.com his family style of fma includes strikes, kicks and submissions and weapons work, so the fact that he also trains in kung fu I think has less to do with his wins and success than his family style which he has been undertaking for a lot longer.
