While its true most fights do not involve knives, many executions do. If you don't know how to really work against knives it isn't a knife fight.

Open hand vs. a knife is damn hard. Especially if the person with the knife is any good at all.

I think people should train more with knives and sticks and less with stupid weapons like nunchucks, tri sectional staff, kama's.

I have been in knife altercations before. Of course once I was the one that pulled the knife. And i've had more stick altercations that I'd care for.
I'd rather be punched many times than stabbed that's for sure.

Brah if you are in Dallas, you have a good chance of checking out either Gabriel Martinez who specializes in the Filipino Dumog/Pangamut as a specialty, or Tim Waid who is one of the leaders of the Pekiti Family there he is also the guy who trains the Philippine Marines along with Tuhon Gaje. Look up Either Dallas or Texas pitbulls in yahoo, to find em. While the Dumog/Pangamut is hard to find, it is impressive to say the least. check em out.
