Rolled with Murilo Bustamante on Saturday

Murilo Bustamante of Brazilian Top Team was in Japan this week to support his team-mates in last night`s Pride competition in Saitama City, just north of Tokyo. I had the fortune and privilage to attend his BJJ/Vale Tudo seminar on Saturday morning. It was a small seminar with only a dozen or so attendees, so it felt more like a regular class - we got a lot of personal attention from prof. Bustamante and his assistants. The focus was on escapes - half-guard and mount, and some strategies on passing the guard with no gi. We also had the opportunity to spar with prof. Bustamante at the end of the seminar. It was the first time I had rolled with a black belt of his skill and needless to say it was a great experience. Also needless to say he was able to submit me at will.
