Man that sorta shocked me when I was reading the results. Thought cro cop would have taken that fight easily. Guess it just goes to show you that you have to know what to do on the ground.

I think where he went wrong was watching for the takedown too intensely,
he forgot to watch for everything else.
I.m.o he is very overrated, you can't go into PRIDE with no groundfighting
skills, all he has is a wicked left roundhouse, sorry but not good enough.
Too much time spent in parliament and making movies, not enough time
      training in ground fighting.
All the fans in Croatia are starting to get pissed off too.
He has the rights to show all of his fights and has been doing so.
Except for this one where he gets steamrolled, not a good career move.

Well he isnt a ground fighter. So its not surprising, hes a good K-1 fighter and could probably hold his own very well in a street fight but in pride he just can't do very well unless he fights some stirker. Would be interesting to see how silva would fair in K-1 against the best guys.

That's what i'm saying,..... he should work on his ground game
              or go back to K1.
I think silva would do alright in K1 as he prefers to fight standing
and his aggression would overwhelm most opponents.
You will probably notice the few times silva has been in a dominant
position on the ground, he gets straight up and face stomps instead
              of submitting them.

Hopefully we will see silva fight in K-1 in the future. I would really like to see him against someone like bonjasky or maybe cro cop.

He already fought Cro Cop to a draw in Pride... Imagine that... Silva couldnt take him out but Randleman got a knockout in the first round.

Cro cop should at the very least work on his takedown/ground defense...

If randleman and him had fought in a K-1 rule match he would have beaten him. Well I can't say that for sure but he has fought tougher people in K-1 and beaten them.

Sure, K1 has some great strikers but that's what i don't like about it,
the rules don't allow you to go ground, so that's not very realistic fighting to me.
Like it's been said, "If you can't fight on the ground, you can't fight"
I tend to believe that saying.

Silva has pretty good ground skills. He has worked on them a lot. I mean he almost got Yoshida in a Triangle, a olympic judo fighter. But he wouldn't be a black belt in bjj if he did not have any ground skills. Cro crop is a bit overrated. I think it is because Dana White said that he thought Crop was the best heavyweight. People will lose to him when trying stand up but if you take him to the ground, it almost like the first UFCs. But crop does have very good takedown defense, which has helped him a lot. But I am positive that the winner of the Pride GP will be Nog. He is one of the best fighters out there, mad bjj skills.
