Well at first I was thinking about moves to close the distance like front kick to double underhooks but I figured judo has the double underhooks clinch and the front kick is an atemi waza strike so then I found this method of passing the guard, http://www.groundfighter.com/details/prodid/160.html just click on watch video and you will see.

Originally posted by CKDThat is interesting. If you ever get a judoka with good ne waze then it ought to be even better. But personally I think Sambo is better for BJJ tournaments than judo is. Samboist tend to practice more groundwork than the average judo practicioner and the rules of Sambo allow for more time on the ground while in judo you are stood up quickly.
But in my case they seem to get enough points from the standing sweeps and avoid any ground fighing almost like a standing sweep and run away.
It is still the fault of the BJJ dude because even if you get sweep (standing), you should keep a hold of your judo opponent for grappling on the floor which is our main advantage.
However, easier to be said/type than physically done.
