  • Searching for best Gi

I've heard a lot of good things about Howard Gi and Krugans.

Any good recommendations for a new Gi? I'm looking for a double gi...without a million patches.

      HCK.

Embroidered on the shoulder. No patches unless you buy them and sew them on!

I have the HCK hot weather and I like it a lot, it feels like you're wearing amor plating! Great quality, built to last.

But don't expect it to be any cooler than a regular Gi.

If those were my only choices, it's HCK all the way.

If you're looking for an espensive, disposable Gi, then you can try a Krugan. They look good but I have had a few friends that have had them and were not happy with them.
I've seen quite a few tear and rip pretty easily after they've beeb worn for a while.

I don't like single weaves, so I have to say...

that if you can afford double weave...a HCK, baby! If you can't, I'd go Ouano.

            Peace

              Thanks for the help

Thanks for all the info. I'll probably go the HCK way. I want something that will last me 3+years. I have a couple of cheap ProForce and Century gis. They have lasted, but just not like a $100 plus gi.

                smokey...

this is an "HCK friendly" forum.

the HCK single @ $90 is still affordable, in my book. and not to put ouano down, but for $30 more for the single, the HCK is WELL worth it!

Well a have good and bad things to say about Howard. The quality is great but after about 2 1/2 hours the gi starts to get a little heavy. And this morning my neck was hurting because of the hard collar. But the caollar was great for the day dont get me wrong.

But if you are going to be training a while (2 1/2 hours) buy a golden weave. But not Atama.I was training with a guy that was wearing a Atama golden weave and I could see light through the back of it.For golden weaves I would suggest these...
