      John,
I'm glad you and your guys had a great time. It was mine & Royce's pleasure to have ya'll. I've got a story to tell you the next time I see you, you also Klif. Klif, I've got a list of the promotions and as soon as I can I'll get them to you to put on the board. I hope everyone had a great time at the classes. Royce is a close friend and I appreciated the attendance and the great respect he was afforded by everyone there.

        Hey Klif.

just got back from the pro-am on monday. The best I could do in my division was 4th place. In my opinion I did pretty good by just getting out of the first round. My opponent was from Renzo's and won our weight in the naga tournament a few weeks before. We had a good fight but I think I beat him 8-0 (it felt much closer). At one point I almost locked a clock down but couldn't finish it. In the 3rd round I lost 2-0 on a takedown. I had an armlock as time ran out but I couldn't finish it (got a great video of it). All in all I was okay with my performance and spotted a few areas that I need to work harder on. It feels like things are starting to come together a little more.

            Hawk and Silsbee guys,

I would have been there with John and the other guys but I had to take my wife and kids to the airport. I hope to meet you some other time though. Take care and good job on the new belts.

Thanks John. From what I see Texas will be a force to be reconed with in the jiu-jitsu world one day. I've always believed that we were a little behind everyone else (east and west coast) but after this weekend I see that we can roll with the bigger academies and be successful. I'll see ya in Dallas next touney.

It sure would be nice if someone started hosting some tournaments a little closer, like in the Houston to Lake Charles area.
