  • Antonio Nogueira upside down sidechoke

In the last Pride Fighting Championships June 18th
Antonio Nogueira did a upside down sidechoke.
Looked like a snake killing it's victim... wow!
Anyone have more info on it?
    Thanks

Funny you should say that, it's called an Anaconda choke.
Iv'e heard it called a spider choke too.
NOG has won his last two fights with that sub, both in the H/W GP.
Very effective as it's done transitioning from one position to another.

It's much easier to do this choke in no-gi fighting because it must be on so tight. If you and your opponent have a gi on it;s much harder to do because your sleeves and his collar get in the way.
