My ROSS instructor sent me that link this morning. He's going. It should be a valuable class for anyone, regardless of the style of MA you practice. I am new to MA, have been taking lessons from my Sergeant Major for nearly a month, and we do softwork daily. I attribute my progress to such training. I wouldn't learn a thing had we started out doing "hardwork", I'd be lumped up and wondering what the heck just happenend LOL. Anyway, that's my two cents, if anyone is considering getting into "softwork", I'll say, it works!

Scott Shonnon is defenitely the real deal. His softwork is a valuable training tool. Igor Zinioev(the man that beat Sperry), Igor Yakimov, Tonny Chechine, Elvis Sisonic and many others have trained under Scott Shonnon and implemented his methods. To close I would like to say Softwork is not "bullshido".

I clicked on the link and I thought the first few lines were quite funny and sometimes true:

"I've heard it many times, "I've been practicing martial art for 20 years," when in reality they've only been practicing the first two years ten times over."

CKD, I completely agree on Scott Sonnon being the real deal, My instructor, SGM Metz traines under him and considers him a great coach and friend. They run a thing called Force Responsive Subject Control, www.subjectcontrol.com and since my SGM learned everything about ROSS from Coach Sonnon, then I can attest to it. ROSS is the real deal, and softwork is a most valuable way to train. I hope that SGM Metz gains alot from this certification workshop, because I will surely benefit in our daily training sessions. By the way.. what is bushido? Sorry, like I said, I am a MA newbie.

I too agree Scott Sonnon is the real deal.... although $697.00 for 3 a days seminar seems too expensive.
