  • The Guardian Angels

Anyone remember Curtis Sliwas Guardian Angels group based in NY. What are they up to these days? They were popular throughout the 90's.

    I wonder too.
They were the vigilants back in the days.
I guess now it will be to 'bad' to be a vigilant: LAWSUIT!

TomYum, do you mean the guys who patrolled the subways??, we had a group by the same name in London, they used to wear red berets I think.
if you do, then i know what happened to them but I'm not sure if you are talking about the same group.

Yes they went global. I was watching Insomniac on Comedy Central, and Dave Attel was in Tokyo. Sure enough there was a group of Japanese guardian angels and Attel had a funny chat with them.

Not sure if Emptynesses response was sarcastic, but at face value this could be an interesting proposition.

Read carefully about the cases of kidnappings and murders of foreigners in Iraq. With some exceptions, the frequency happens to be against soft targets - aid workers with absolutely no defense or weapons from European countries that were against the war in the first place. Yes, those trying to help rebuild Iraq and assist are being kidnapped as are other middle eastern contractors (Lebanese etc). Allthough this isn't happening here, it shows the psychology of crime and assault.

On the domestic front, groups like the angels have cleaned up meighborhoods in some areas quite well. So what happened to them? Frivalous lawsuit??

                  Curtis Slewa

Not sure if the Angles are still in business, but Curtis Sliwas is on T. V. on a talk show, I think on the fox cable news. You may want to run a google search on him.

Tom, I am thinking of a fairly short sword, the type that is appx half to 2 thirds length of a smaurai type, not sure of the correct name yet but that size should be good for concealment.
Tom, have you travelled on public transport these days?, you should see the evil old bags that dash for their life to beat you in the queue, HuSanYan is thinking it is time they all had a slash fest

Phil Elmore is Sharp Phil on the forum. He is regional director for straight blast gym if I remember correctly.
