dreamcast UFC video game help

just got this game, but no instructions. anyone care to help me understand what key combinations do what? the punching and kicking is obvious, but how the heck do you do stuff like escape the mount, counter armbars, go to guard, etc? does each character have their own specialty moves?

What are the X, Y, A, and B, buttons. I have it on the Playstation and can't get the moves to work.
