Two Saturdays ago, I was having a beer at one of the bars at the LA airport and saw a gate/ door open, the first guy off the plane was Bas.
It took me about 5 seconds to register and say to myself "Hey, I know that guy"
But by the time I I recognized Bas, he was already about 20 feet away and he was in a hurry so I didn't yell out his name.
I trained with Bas when at Beverly Hills Jiu Jitsu.
ran into him a few years ago in my office building, he was there to have his taxes done by one of the accountants in the building.
I usually run into a lot of people I know at airports and at other strange or out of the way places.Comment

But Bas(and/or whoever helped him with the ideas) really made the fighters seem more like people, IMO.
That youtube clip is just one example among many. That's the main reason I thought he stood out from the other commentators/interviewers/etc.Comment
