Nipple piercing and BJJ

My sister (Metalgirl - she will be posting on here at some point) and I have had an argument, and I'd like to know if any of you have any knowledge about it...

She says that it would be possible for a woman with nipple piercings to do BJJ as long as she wore a tight bra/crop top. I think it would be impossible.

What do you think?

I'll roll with her as long as she rolls topless.....and I promise not to tug on the nipple ring......because then she'll be forced to tap out by a new move that I like to call nipple bar.

Absolutely not. It would get torn out rather quickly and easily. Even with a gi on, it would get cought up and torn out, probably the first time she rolls hard on the mat.

Besides, nipple rings are gross and rather classless anyways....

My friend got his torn out in a mosh pit at a rock concert. It bled like crazy but did heal eventually. I can't even believe your friend would even consider rolling with that in, the ignorance of some people never ceases to amaze me

I had a guy training at my school that used to put tape over his nipples. I don't think he ever had any problems with his piercings.

This theoretical nipple ring is not going to get "caught" on anything, because it's going to be covered by a tight item of clothing. My argument that it wouldn't work was more about the pressure - I can't imagine how much it would hurt to have pierced nipples and then have some big heavy guy get side control on you, pushing down with all his weight.

What about having it pierced and having a big heavy guy on top of you? Isn't that why some people get them pierced, for the pleasure of that???

I know that people roll with belly rings - Metalgirl does, and a girl I know in LA does as well. Metalgirl even rolls with a septum ring, and that doesn't seem to be a problem.
