Cueng Le
Wow, this guy is an awesome fighter in the K-1 using San Shou rules. They wear boxing gloves but the rules allow throws, punches, and kicks. Cueng the current champion is awesome. He is 5'11" and 180lbs. His pet moves are the scissor take down, powerful body slams and other types of judo/jujitsu throws. His kicks are awesome and seem to be from tae kwon do. It is different from mma in that once you make a throw; then you are awarded a point (or 2 or 3 points based on the type of throw}and you get back on your feet and start over again from the stand up position. I saw him fight again last night friday 2/18/05.
Has anybody else seen Cueng Le fight? I believe this guy is headed for greatness. I believe that he is becoming one of the legends.
Any comments? Analysis? I picked the Brazillian/MMA forumn because of Cueng Lees' throws and takedowns plus this forumn has the most TRAFFIC.
